Hello again, Clive here. This is a page for you to get to know me a little better, for folks who read the blog often. I was born and raised in Poughkeepsie, and that’s where I’ve lived in my retirement since my mother passed away, God rest her. During the Vietnam war, I served as a reconnaissance scout along the Ho Chi Minh trail, and then as a technician servicing planes when the USA got involved in Korea. Since my return to civilian life, I used my service training to get into plumbing, and just like every old film about coming home from war, I ended up marrying my high school sweetheart Mabel. So now we live together down the street from where I grew up, just across the green from the courthouse. We’ve got a golden retriever named Buddy and two sons, Bert and Ivan, who are both grown and moved away. In my spare time since retirement, I mostly tinker around the house, watch films, and read military history books to keep myself busy.
